Garlic & Onion Roast Asparagus

If you’d like to glow up your asparagus, try it roasted with garlic and onion. For added pizzaz and a diet cheat day, you could even wrap it in , which accompanies garlic and onion very well.

Garlic & Onion Roast Asparagus

An easy method of cooking asparagus, and a nice change from regular boiled. 

Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 15 minutes
Total Time 20 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch asparagus (about 25 stalks)
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil (extra virgin)
  • 1⁄8 onion (minced)
  • 1 garlic (clove)
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450 F (240 C).
  2. On a large baking sheet, pour about 3 tbsp of olive oil. Add onion and garlic, mix with fingers. then place the asparagus on top, spread the bunch apart, and roll in the garlicky, onion-y oil to coat.
  3. Sprinkle with salt. Roast about 15 minutes (depending on thickness of asparagus) until wilty brown at the tips and soft.
