You can buy any old Ranch dressing, but Hidden Valley Ranch Mix is useful for so many other things, and many other recipes. You don’t have to buy from Amazon, you can make it at home. Recreate the beloved Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing/Dip with this easy-to-follow copycat recipe.

Yield: 2-1/2 Cups Mix

Hidden Valley Ranch Mix for Dressing or Dip

Made with pantry staples like saltine crackers, parsley flakes, and a blend of flavorful herbs and spices, this homemade mix can keep for up to a year, and can be used to create a creamy dressing or a delicious dip.

Ingredients

  • 15 saltine crackers ((UK:Doriano Italian Crackers))
  • 2 cups parsley flakes (dry minced)
  • 1⁄2 cup onion (dry minced)
  • 2 tablespoons dill (dry minced)
  • 1⁄4 teaspoon onion salt
  • 1⁄4 cup onion powder
  • 1⁄4 cup garlic salt
  • 1⁄4 cup garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Crush crackers through blender on high speed until powdered.
  2. Add parsley, minced onions and dill weed. Blend until powdered. Put into bowl.
  3. Stir in onion salt, garlic salt, onion powder and garlic powder.
  4. Put into container with tight-fitting lid.

Notes

To USE MIX:

  • Combine 1 Tbsp. above mix, 1 c. mayo. and 1 c. buttermilk. Makes 1 pint.
  • Add 1 Tbsp. of above mix to 1 container of sour cream and use this as a dip.
