Mayonnaise Cookies
A family favourite. Simple, rich, and delicious sugar cookie. You should use Hellman's mayonnaise to get the right texture and flavour or it's just not quite right.
Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 175 Celsius (350 F).
- Combine the mayonnaise, vanilla and sugar.

- Drop teaspoonfuls of dough on a baking sheet.
- With a fork, press each cookie gently in cross directions and sprinkle with sugar.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the cookie edges just start to brown. Remove from sheet and allow to cool.
